"Here. In My Head" is a B-side from Tori Amos's 1992 debut solo album Little Earthquakes

Background Edit

According to Amos, "Here. In My Head" was written after Little Earthquakes was "way out". She had planned to include the song on Under the Pink "because I was writing it just when I started writing Pretty Good Year, and should have done that."[1]

The song was released as a B-side on "Crucify" in France, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom in June 1992.[2]

Since its release, "Here. In My Head" has become one of Amos' most popular early B-sides among fans. Joe Valesse of Popmatters

Andrew Daley of Polari Magazine called the song "one of Tori's finest..." , and Joe Vallese of PopMatters named the song one of her ten best non-album tracks...

Remastered versions Edit

Remastered versions of "Here. In My Head" have been included on the 2006 boxset A Piano: The Collection and the 2015 reissue of Little Earthquakes.

Comic Book Tattoo Edit

An eleven-page story inspired by "Here. In My Head" was included in the 2008 anthology Comic Book Tattoo, a collection of short comics influenced by Amos' songs. "Here. In My Head" was written by Elizabeth Genco, coloured by Mark Sweeney, and pencilled and inked by Carla Speed McNeil.[3]

Live performances Edit

"Here. In My Head" was first performed live during the 1992 Little Earthquakes Tour and has been played on almost all of Tori's tours since.

Tori performed "Here. In My Head" during various television appearances, including on Later with Jools Holland and (another?)
