"Little Earthquakes" is the twelfth song and closing track on Tori Amos' 1992 debut solo album Little Earthquakes.

Background Edit

"Little Earthquakes" was written and recorded during the second phase of writing Little Earthquakes, a period that also yielded the songs "Girl", "Precious Things", and "Tear in Your Hand". All of these songs were recorded in Eric Rosse's home studio.

Other versions Edit

Remastered versions of "Little Earthquakes" have been included on the 2006 boxset A Piano: The Collection and the 2015 rerelease of Little Earthquakes.

Live performances Edit

"Little Earthquakes" was first performed live during the 1992 Little Earthquakes Tour and has been played on almost all of Amos' tours since, both solo and with a band.[1] The song was performed by the character Clyde on the 2007 American Doll Posse World Tour.

Recorded live performances of "Little Earthquakes" have been included on Live at Montreux, the "Crucify" UK Limited Edition EP, To Venus and Back, and Legs and Boots.
