"The Happy Worker" is a song performed by Tori Amos included on the soundtrack to the 1992 Robin Williams film Toys.
Background[]
"The Happy Worker" was written and produced by Trevor Horn, who contributed several other pieces to the Toys soundtrack. Amos' performance on the song was positively received by critics; Murrday Fisher of Allmusic commented that Amos gave the song "an erotic spin".[1]
In his book Tori Amos Collectibles, Paul Campbell claims that Amos was "extremely unhappy with the final mix [of the song] ... and refused to allow a planned CD single to be released".[2] "The Happy Worker" has been included on some bootleg copies of Y Kant Tori Read.[3]
