"Walk to Dublin (Sucker Reprise)" is an outtake from Tori Amos' 1996 album Boys for Pele. The song was finally released as part of the boxset A Piano: The Collection in 2006.

Background Edit

"Walk to Dublin (Sucker Reprise)" was originally recorded for inclusion on the 1996 album Boys for Pele. Amos wrote the song after a "frustrating day" during recording sessions for Pele; she remarked that "I wanted to get out of there, walk to Dublin".[1]

The song was at one point suggested as the record's first single. However, Atlantic Records requested that harpsichord be removed from the track and Amos refused, telling her team to "hide the song away".

Amos revisited "Walk to Dublin" in 1998 because she needed B-sides for From the Choirgirl Hotel, with the song being mixed for the first time, but once again forgot about the track.
